Just downloaded Custom Hud as a trial but receiving message 'Invalid file'. Cannot make it work no matter what I do.
Playing at iPoker (Sun Poker). Using PH version 3.56.5. Tried a default config I created and also example1.
PokerHound Comms shows as active.
Pressed reload and always get Invalid file message.
Other standard PH huds work fine - mouse, dynamic etc.
Please advise.

It can mean 1 of 3 things, I can find out which if you can Private Message me your debug.txt file in the base install directory.

Thanks for the PM and the debug file.
It seems to be the fact that it hasn't been tested on Sun Poker yet and it doesn't recognise the site as iPoker skin.
Fix should be easy enough, I can see that is looking for a different name. I tried to make the app pick up new changes by itself and try to parse the name in set ways, but maybe they actually have changed the name? or its just a new site!?
Anyway if anyone else has the same problem with a different site please let me know...

Ok so what is the solution for me? I have a trial of 14 days and haven't been able to test it yet.

Just downloaded latest update. No good - same problem. Also freezes/crashes often.

I have no other reports of crashing, maybe it is something else that is interfering with operation, another third party application or firewall/security app maybe?
Can I have the following information please and I will try to figure this out asap.
Your Operating System:
Poker Site with Problem:
Just Sun Poker? or have you tried Stars or Party or another iPoker site by chance?
Also more importantly can you tell me what the exact site name is in the PokerHound database? it should say in History... i.e. "Titan Poker" please use same capitals as well as spaces etc.
When we get this sorted I will get a license out to you to trial properly. I just need your Hardware ID from the 'register button'. Best to do that in a Private Message.

There maybe a problem with the tags, I signed up for a play money account at Sun Poker and I only receive tags for cards and flop,turn,river I will check with John if there is a problem. Maybe Fun games don't work?
But you say Sun Poker works normally with the standard HUD's. Strange? |

OK I have some news for you.
Just tried it on William Hill. Same problem with Invalid file. Crashes also. Have to force close PH and CH and restart them to get PH to work again.
Titan works fine (so it seems to be only some iPoker sites) and Party Poker works fine too.
I use XP with SP3.
Problem sites: Sun Poker and William Hill.
In History, in site column, exact names are:
William Hill Poker
SunPoker

Ok, I made the mistake of not ticking the Player Actions box in SunPoker Client and now it's all up and running fine with PokerHound Version 3.56.5 and CustomHud Version 1.0.2.
Can you just double check you are using V1.0.2? It will say in the title bar of the application.
I am a little baffled by this, as the problem indicates that it can't recognise SunPoker as an iPoker site. I can't see why there would be an exception if we are using the same version. The fact it works on Titan means that it is not a CustomHUD configuration problem for iPoker. |

Ok got it to work. I had the HUD default as Full and then when after HUD displayed, I manually switched to custom, that is when the problem started. Resolved it by making custom HUD as default in settings. Since then no problems.
However I have some questions for you. I know this is not the right section, but since we already have this thread started, here goes.
I am looking for some stats that I can't seem to find as follows:
Cold call preflop: (definition: facing a raise and you just call preflop - this does not include limps in an unopened pot) - is this CH stat PreFlopCall% because it seems I think to include all stats within bracket above
VPIP: You have TtlVlntryEntPerc but you have defined it as % Total of times voluntarily entered the hand (put money in pot at flop, not including blinds) - you say flop - do you mean that or is it a typo
Called flop CB: You have FlopCall% but I think this includes calls of bets on flop but from players who may have limped pre and then hit a favourable flop as opposed to only to calls of CB from players who raised pre
Went to showdown: This is useful in identifying true calling stations. I can find anything close
Separate question: I am setting stat colour rules and intend to use also the acronym for that stat - dont seem to be able to set a colour for acronym (say white) and then other colors for actual stat - acronym always has same colour as stat as defined by rule. Is what I want possible?

Good news. Still it should switch ok, but glad you have it working now.
Cold call preflop & Showdown stats: Are not in the PokerHound Database and can only be implemented on a session basis. Unfortunately the demand for these stats is not high enough to warrant the time to implement them on a session basis.
VPIP: Yes this is a typo, it's supposed to read pre-flop!
FlopCall%: Includes all actions, regardless of action before. Call is a call here. Total times player has called / total number of actions.
Yes, Color rules only apply to both the acronym and then stat. At least this way you can easily see which stat the acronym refers too when the color changes.
